CHEFS & CHIEFS 2011
This year the Friends are planning a revised version of our Chefs & Chiefs fund-raiser. This year’s Chefs & Chiefs event will be held at the C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa. Rather than a seated formal dinner, the format is changing to a group of local chefs from Memphis restaurants setting up at individual stations...a much more informal function. In addition we'll have a selection of wines, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.
Again this year, the event will include a silent auction. The auction proceeds will go directly toward the Friends’ plans to reconstruct at least one hut on top of the platform mound next year, to coincide with the University of Memphis centennial celebration. The event will be held Sunday, November 13th, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We feel that this event will be a great opportunity to show the public the wonderful changes that have taken place at the museum under our current director, Robert Connolly, and to revitalize interest in the site.
